Unused AI coding credits do not follow one universal rollover rule. Identify whether the balance is a recurring allowance, purchased top-up, promotion, or organization pool, then check the reset date, expiration, spending order, and cancellation terms.
For Verdent, the current policy is explicit:
- Subscription credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
- PAYG or top-up credits remain available until used.
- The billing cycle and subscription status apply across Verdent products on the same account.
This distinction matters when two balances coexist. Confirm which balance is spent first so expiring subscription credits do not sit unused while a persistent top-up is consumed. Teams should also document whether limits apply per seat or to a shared pool.
Track real consumption for two or three normal cycles and choose a recurring allowance near typical demand. Keep top-ups for irregular releases or migrations rather than running unnecessary tasks near a reset date. Record the rule with the plan name and verification date; do not rely on an old screenshot or another user's account.
