Verdent currently documents Anthropic, OpenAI, and OpenRouter as BYOK providers for AI coding. Other model access depends on whether the model is exposed through one of those supported provider routes.
The value is control. For Verdent specifically, the current documented BYOK providers are Anthropic, OpenAI, and OpenRouter; other model access depends on whether it is exposed through a supported provider route.
Verdent supports BYOK through model configuration. You add the provider key, select models, validate the setup, and then use those models in supported agent workflows. BYOK is different from BYOA: BYOK brings model access, while BYOA brings an external agent runtime. For most cost-control use cases, BYOK provider support is the setting that matters.
