General settings
Manage publishing, access, app identity, features, and advanced settings in My app
Open a Cloud project and select My app → General. This page is the control center for the app's publishing state and live settings.
App identity
When the app is live and no publish is in progress, select Edit next to the app name to change its icon or title.
- The title cannot be empty.
- The title cannot contain
%,*,#,@,&,<,>, quotes, backticks, backslashes,/,?,=, braces,|,^, or~. - Saving the title or icon updates the live app immediately; another publish is not required.
- Visit opens the current live URL in a new browser tab.
The URL is chosen during the publish flow. General lets you visit, copy, or display it as a QR code, but it does not provide an inline URL editor for a live app.
Publish & Access
The main status card changes with the app state:

| Not published | Start the first publish. Until then, the app is available only through its preview. |
| Publishing | Follow build, scan, and release progress; cancel when cancellation is available; respond to a security confirmation or use the offered AI fix after a supported failure. |
| Live | Visit the app, change its access level, copy its URL, view it on a phone, or unpublish it. |
| Failed or cancelled | Review the reported problem and start a new publish attempt. |
Public and private access
Use the access selector on a live app:
- Public — anyone with the URL can open the app.
- Private — only you can access the app.
Changing access is saved and applied immediately. While a save or unpublish operation is running, the selector is temporarily disabled.
Copy or open on a phone
The URL card provides two shortcuts:
- Copy URL copies the live link to the clipboard.
- The phone button displays a QR code that you can scan on a mobile device.
Unpublish
Select Unpublish and confirm the warning to take the app offline. The published URL becomes inaccessible immediately. The project remains available so you can continue editing and publish again later.
Version history
Select Version history to review publish attempts with their timestamp, status, and release message. Possible states include Live, Previously live, Publishing, Failed, and Cancelled.
Version history is currently a read-only record. The dialog does not provide a rollback or restore action.
App features
General can send feature setup requests to the active project task:
Ask Verdent to enable sign-in
Verdent asks the task to add sign-up, sign-in, password recovery, and sign-out using managed authentication. Supported methods can include Google and email/password. After publishing the generated changes, registered accounts appear in Users.
Built-in database
Verdent asks the task to create and connect the data model needed by the app. After publishing the generated changes, tables and records appear in Database.
The Set up button is disabled when the feature is already detected or when no setup action can be sent. Open a task in the Cloud project before requesting setup.
Advanced
Hide Verdent badge removes the Verdent badge from the published website. This setting requires an active paid subscription.
- Before the first publish, the switch is saved as a draft for the upcoming release.
- For a live app, changing the switch updates the site immediately.
- If the account is not eligible, selecting the locked setting opens the Verdent pricing page.
